Hong Kong ICT business HGC Global Communications Limited (HGC), an I Squared Capital business, has appointed Daniel Ng as Senior Vice President of Corporate Business.

In his role, Ng has been tasked with empowering Hong Kong corporates to prosper in today’s competitive digital world by fully leveraging the power of HGC’s digital infrastructure and telecom and ICT solutions.

He will spearhead the growth of the Corporate Business unit, taking responsibility for its strategic direction and overseeing day-to-day operations.

Ng has a wealth of experience and has held various senior management positions in the fields of technical pre-sales, mobile sales and corporate sales.

With a singular focus on serving large enterprises, he will lead his team in the provision of integrated telecom, data centre and ICT solutions and services to meet evolving needs.

Andrew Kwok, Chief Executive Officer of HGC, said: “HGC is committed to leveraging our advanced technologies, digital infrastructure and comprehensive services to strengthen connections for businesses locally and globally.

“Daniel shares our belief in the bright prospects for our region’s corporates and has an exciting vision for how HGC can continue to support them to thrive in the evolving digital era. It is a pleasure to welcome him to HGC.”

Daniel Ng, Senior Vice President of Corporate Business at HGC, said: “As a veteran in the ICT industry, I am delighted to have the opportunity to join the HGC management team.

“With HGC’s sophisticated corporate services built on clear strategies and exceptional digital capabilities, as well as a substantial and extensive network infrastructure, I look forward to working closely with the talented HGC team to create further value for our customers and stakeholders.”

HGC has 23 overseas offices, with business over 5 continents. It provides telecom infrastructure service to other operators and serves as a service provider to corporate and households.

The company also provides full-fledged telecom, data centre services, ICT solutions and broadband services for local, overseas, corporate and mass markets.

The company has also recently appointed Cliff Tam as Senior Vice President of Global Data Strategy and Operations, International Business.

Working within the HGC International Business team, he will be responsible for expanding the Group’s global presence and fully-fledged services to deepen its partnerships with digital content, service and infrastructure providers around the world and help them reach new frontiers.

Ravindran Mahalingam, Senior Vice President of International Business at HGC, said at the time: “With 5G and edge computing bringing the promise of premium services and more personalised user experiences, HGC is committed to expanding our global presence and fully-fledged services so that our partners can better engage with their customers and exceed expectations.

“We are delighted to have a leader of Cliff’s calibre to help us define and pursue inspiring digital strategies that leverage our innovation, infrastructure and ecosystem as the digital era continues to unfold.”

In early October, HGC also appointed Eli Ngai as Chief Information Officer, with immediate effect. He is now responsible for the development of the Group’s digital capabilities and infrastructure, helping to ensure it can continue to expand and enhance its ICT and telecom services for operators and enterprises in Hong Kong and around the world.
