Environmentalists and meteorologists are emphatic that the high temperatures felt across the Northern Hemisphere from China to Europe and over in North America are to become a regular and frequent feature in our lives. This is part of a pattern of more extreme weather with hotter spells in summer and colder spells in winter too.
