Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched its first infrastructure region in New Zealand with the opening of the AWS Asia Pacific (New Zealand) Region, comprising three availability zones. The company has invested NZD 7.5 billion (US$4.4 billion) to establish the new facilities.
