For observers of the two largest economies of the Gulf, namely KSA and UAE, it has been evident ever since OpenAI has released its ChatGPT LLM in November 2022, that they have strong AI ambitions and are competing for the AI lead within the Gulf and the wider West Asia.  They have ever since been thriving to manifest this by first grabbing a pole position with Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI).  For that, they have each been cozying up to OpenAI, Nvidia, Microsoft, and the rest of the US tech giants.
