LONDON, UK – May 12, 2026 – The Tech Capital has announced the winners of the 5th annual Global Awards, recognising the companies, executives, investors and projects driving the evolution of digital infrastructure, data centres, AI infrastructure, cloud, connectivity and energy.
Held in London alongside The Tech Capital International Finance Forum 2026 (IFF26), the awards brought together senior leaders from across the global digital infrastructure ecosystem, including investors, operators, technology companies, policymakers, legal advisers and energy providers.
The 2026 edition marked the largest Global Awards to date, reflecting the continued expansion and increasing strategic importance of the sector amid unprecedented demand for AI infrastructure, compute capacity, energy and digital connectivity.
Speaking during the ceremony, João Marques Lima, Founder and Managing Editor of The Tech Capital, said: “Over the past five years, these awards have grown alongside the industry itself. What began as a focused initiative recognising excellence in digital infrastructure has evolved into a truly global platform celebrating the companies and individuals shaping one of the world’s most critical industries.
“Today, infrastructure sits at the centre of economic growth, AI development, energy strategy and national competitiveness. The organisations recognised tonight are not only building capacity, but helping define how the next decade of digital infrastructure will be financed, powered, deployed and operated.”
The evening was hosted by Lord John Bird MBE, founder of The Big Issue, and also supported fundraising efforts for The Big Issue Group and its work tackling poverty and creating opportunity across the UK.
The Global Awards 2026 winners were selected by an independent judging panel made up of senior industry leaders and experts from across the global digital infrastructure market.
