Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 16 December 2025 – Digital infrastructure media and events platform Mondego Media Group has opened a new subsidiary in the European Union, establishing a base in Amsterdam to support the expansion of its flagship publication, The Tech Capital, operations across Europe.
The subsidiary, Mondego Media Group B.V., has been incorporated in the Netherlands and will operate from Keizersgracht 391 A, 1016 EJ, Amsterdam, in the North Holland region. The investment provides the group with a formal EU presence as its premium-focused media activities scale on the continent.
While the expansion relates to the growth of The Tech Capital’s European operations, the subsidiary has been established at the group level.
Mondego Media Group said the Amsterdam entity will serve as a base for editorial, commercial and partnership activities within the European Union, reflecting increased engagement with companies, investors and policymakers across the region.
João Marques Lima, Managing Director at Mondego Media Group, said: “Establishing a subsidiary in the European Union is a logical step as our activities in the region continue to grow. Amsterdam offers a strong international business environment and provides us with a practical base from which to support The Tech Capital’s operations and partnerships across Europe.”
The Netherlands has become a common location for international media and technology companies seeking an EU headquarters, offering regulatory stability, access to a multilingual workforce and proximity to major European markets. Amsterdam, in particular, has developed into a hub for technology, financial services and digital media firms.
The creation of Mondego Media Group B.V. follows a period of expansion for The Tech Capital, which has increased its coverage of European digital infrastructure companies, investment activity and policy trends. The publication has focused on areas including data centres, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, telecommunications, neoclouds, fibre and other sectors that have seen sustained investment across Europe in recent years.
By operating through an EU-based entity, Mondego Media Group is expected to strengthen its ability to engage with European partners, advertisers and contributors, as well as to navigate regulatory and commercial requirements within the bloc.
Lima said the subsidiary would support closer collaboration with stakeholders across the region: “Having an EU base allows us to work more closely with European companies and institutions, and to better reflect developments on the ground. It also provides a framework for further growth as our audience and commercial relationships in Europe expand.”
The Tech Capital operates as part of Mondego Media Group’s broader portfolio of digital media assets. The group focuses on business, technology and investment-focused publications aimed at a global readership, with content covering multiple regions.
According to Mondego Media Group, the Amsterdam subsidiary will not change the editorial direction of The Tech Capital but will provide additional operational capacity to support its European activities.
The group did not disclose financial details related to the incorporation or outline specific hiring plans at this stage.
The move comes amid continued interest from global investors in European digital infrastructure assets, despite broader economic uncertainty. Media companies covering these sectors have sought to deepen their presence in key markets to provide more localised reporting and analysis.
Mondego Media Group said further updates on its European operations would be communicated in the coming months. More information on the group and its publications is available on The Tech Capital and Mondego Media Group websites.
