London, UK – 13 August 2025 – The Tech Capital today announces the fifth edition of its International Finance Forum (IFF26), collocated with the Global Awards, scheduled for 11–12 May 2026 in London.
The special anniversary edition, expected to assemble up to 500 delegates from more than 300 companies, spanning sectors such as digital infrastructure, fibre, edge computing, data centres, artificial intelligence, energy, finance, investment, and legal services, under the theme Connecting Capital, Creating Future.
Forecasts from Morgan Stanley suggest global capital expenditure on data-centre infrastructure may reach US$3 trillion by 2028 amid surging demand from generative AI applications. Separately, Deloitte projects that gen-AI chips alone will be worth over US$150 billion by 2025, with the total AI accelerator market potentially reaching US$500 billion by 2028.
With participant organisations collectively commanding a market capitalisation exceeding US$1.6 trillion, not including large hyperscale participants, the forum reflects the increasingly central role of digital infrastructure in global investment strategies. This scale supports the forum’s mission to interrogate vital trends, including the rise of AI-supported infrastructure, neocloud financing models, evolving regulation, ESG compatibility, and the intersection between capital markets and internet infrastructure.
João Marques Lima, Founder & Managing Director of The Tech Capital, said: “The digital infrastructure sector stands at a crossroads where technology, capital and regulation converge at an unprecedented pace. Over the next 24 months, artificial intelligence, neocloud architectures and evolving ESG mandates will redefine how infrastructure is financed, operated and valued. The International Finance Forum is not just a platform to discuss these changes—it is where deals are shaped, alliances are formed, and, on occasion, entirely new investment categories are born. As this is our fifth anniversary, delegates can also expect a few surprises that reflect the transformative spirit of the industry itself.”
The forum will host a rich programme of:
- Plenaries exploring how AI and neocloud models are reshaping infrastructure asset classes and financing approaches across all global regions.
- Panels on regulatory evolution, including data-governance, ESG directives across the EU and UK, and trans-Atlantic compliance comparisons.
- Roundtables dedicated to sustainable financing for digital infrastructure, including carbon-neutral and AI-optimised data centres.
Delegates include senior executives from publicly traded infrastructure firms, sovereign wealth and institutional investors, regulators, private equity funds, ESG and legal experts, and technology giants.
Organisations or individuals interested in speaking at IFF26 are invited to submit an expression of interest via The Tech Capital’s designated enquiries channel or to [email protected]. The forum seeks contributions that are non-commercially rooted and insight-driven, reflecting current challenges and solutions in infrastructure financing and development.
On the evening of 11 May, The Tech Capital will host the 5th Annual Global Awards. The awards will recognise outstanding performance in categories such as Digital Infrastructure Deal of the Year, AI Investment and Strategic Fund-Raising. Submissions for the Global Awards will open this September with detailed criteria and entry guidelines to follow shortly under separate announcement—details will be made available in due course.
As digital infrastructure moves from operational necessity to strategic asset class, the forum offers an essential stage for capital allocators, operators, legal minds, and policy-makers to chart the course forward.
