LONDON, 20 January 2025 – The Tech Capital has unveiled the official agenda for its 4th International Finance Forum (IFF25), scheduled to take place on 12-13 May 2025 in London. The premier event is set to attract digital infrastructure professionals from across the globe, focusing on pressing financial issues and the expansion of the digital infrastructure economy.
IFF25 will serve as a crucial platform for industry leaders, with attendees representing companies boasting a combined market capitalisation exceeding US$2 trillion. The forum aims to facilitate networking, idea exchange, and the forging of valuable connections within the sector.
The landscape of digital infrastructure financing is evolving rapidly, with innovative deal structures and M&A activities reshaping the industry. Private equity firms are increasingly drawn to the sector, recognising the potential for substantial returns .
Concurrently, the integration of AI and quantum technologies is driving investment in data centres, while the resurgence of interest in nuclear power has sparked complex financing arrangements for next-generation reactors to power AI factories. These developments are occurring against a backdrop of expanding terrestrial fibre and wireless infrastructure networks, crucial for supporting the burgeoning demand for connectivity.
Debt markets are adapting to these trends, with novel instruments emerging to fund the capital-intensive projects characteristic of the digital infrastructure sector.
As a result, the programme will cover a wide range of topics, including global finance and investment strategies, regulation, land and real estate, sustainability and more pertinent topics on digital infrastructure. Attendees can expect diverse sessions, from keynote speeches to interactive panels, providing actionable insights and practical knowledge.
Additionally, following the success of previous years’ regional focuses, including the Southern Globe (2022), Asia (2023), and the Middle East & Africa (2024), the 2025 edition will spotlight the Nordic region with its own content stream covering finance and investment across this geography. The choice underscores the growing importance of Nordic countries in the global digital infrastructure landscape.
The event will feature over 100 renowned speakers from various industries and continents, carefully selected for their expertise and unique perspectives. Previous speakers have included high-profile figures such as Alex Bornyakov, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, and David Ellis, Global Infrastructure at Google.
João Marques Lima, Founder and Managing Editor of The Tech Capital said: “IFF25 is poised to be our most impactful forum yet. IFF25 arrives at a pivotal moment for the digital infrastructure sector. With projections indicating global investments in data centres alone to surpass US$1.5 trillion by 2030, our forum serves as a crucial nexus for industry leaders. We are not just discussing the future; we’re actively shaping it.
“From the transformative potential of quantum computing and AI to the burgeoning Nordic market to, IFF25 will dissect the intricate financial mechanisms and technological innovations driving our industry forward. This is where the architects of tomorrow’s digital landscape converge to forge strategies that will resonate for decades to come.”
One Great George Street, a grade II listed Edwardian building near the Houses of Parliament, will once again serve as the venue for IFF25. This iconic location offers a blend of historical grandeur and modern amenities, providing an ideal setting for high-level networking and discussions.
In addition to the main forum, The Tech Capital will host its annual Global Awards also on 13 May 2025, recognising excellence and innovation in the digital infrastructure sector.
