Speaking to The Tech Capital at PTC'25 in Honolulu, Doug Recker, President at DuosEdge AI, and Adrian Goldfarb, Chief Financial Officer at Duos Technologies (NASDAQ: DUOT), shed light on the edge computing market.
In a video interview at PTC’25 in Honolulu, Doug Recker, President at DuosEdge AI, and Adrian Goldfarb, Chief Financial Officer at Duos Technologies (NASDAQ: DUOT), shed light on the company’s novel approach to edge computing solutions. The discussion centred on DuosEdge AI’s strategies for tier 3 and tier 4 markets, emphasising cost-efficiency and scalability in edge data centre deployments.
Recker, drawing from his Marine Corps and telecommunications background, elaborated on DuosEdge AI’s partnerships with local school districts and municipalities. These collaborations aim to overcome the persistent challenges of power and fibre access in edge deployments, a critical factor in expanding digital infrastructure to underserved areas.
“Our strategic alliances with local entities are pivotal in bridging the digital divide,” Recker stated. “By leveraging existing resources and infrastructure, we’re able to deliver high-performance edge computing solutions where they’re needed most.”
The conversation took an intriguing turn as Goldfarb discussed the recent asset management deal with Fortress Investment Group. The partnership is set to integrate mobile gas-powered turbines into DuosEdge AI’s edge computing strategy, potentially revolutionising power management in remote data centres.
As AI and machine learning workloads continue to surge, DuosEdge AI is positioning itself at the forefront of technological adaptation. The company is actively preparing its edge infrastructure to handle computationally intensive tasks while maintaining the low latency crucial for real-time applications.
“The convergence of edge computing and 5G networks presents unprecedented opportunities,” Goldfarb explained. “We’re developing solutions that not only complement these emerging networks but also reshape how data is processed and transmitted at the edge.”
Sustainability emerged as a key theme in the interview, with both executives emphasising DuosEdge AI’s commitment to energy efficiency and environmental stewardship in its data centre designs. The focus aligns with the growing industry-wide push towards greener technology solutions.
Looking ahead, Recker and Goldfarb shared insights on the role of AI in the autonomous management and optimisation of edge data centres. They highlighted DuosEdge AI’s ongoing efforts to incorporate artificial intelligence into its operational strategies, aiming to enhance efficiency and reduce human intervention in data centre management.
The interview concluded with a forward-looking discussion on emerging technologies and trends in edge computing.
