With a boom in data centre deployments globally, M&A activity was always bound to break all records, and so it has happened. One of the top 10 largest transactions in this space took place this year and saw digital infrastructure supplier Vertiv (NYSE: VRT) acquire E&I Engineering Ireland and its affiliate PowerBar Gulf for nearly US$1.8 billion.
